Hello World

After years of surfing the web, I decided I wanted a blog of my own. With this in mind, I set out to create and host my site.

I decided to build mine from scratch. I made this decision despite having access to the plethora of online web building services. This was because I was fixated on the idea of programming it. I wanted to control everything about it.

This was very time-consuming, so much so that I have been working on it since November 2019. Nevertheless, I am extremely satisfied with the results. I wouldn’t have settled for anything else.

Aside from the satisfaction of seeing it live, I gained a lot of knowledge about how the web works and how people make it work. There were so many intricate details about a website that I was completely oblivious about. When I was finished, I was in awe of the people that have contributed to the progress of web technology and design.

I think a personal blog is much more exciting than a social media profile. The sense of individuality enhances the content you produce. Every blog tells a story.

As someone who loves to learn on his own, I think blogs can be a very valuable source. Blog posts not only describe a lot about their subjects but about their authors too.

Honestly, I am unsure regarding what I will post. At the moment, I enjoy programming, gaming, binging television shows, and organizing events. Expect to see a few posts covering these topics.

Those who know me well will know that I can’t stick to one thing forever. I will eventually get bored with what interests me now. A few years from now, I’d probably look back at this post and chuckle.

If you’re interested in what I have to say, stay tuned.
